Coupons don’t exist like they used to. Paper circulars used to arrive on your doorstep, folded into your weekly newspaper. You’d grab some scissors and start clipping away.
Now, everything’s gone digital. If you want to save, you’ll probably need to use your smartphone.
We picked five of our favorite apps that deliver coupons and coupon codes right to your fingertips. We spelled out some of the most helpful features of each, where you can find them and what makes them stand out from the crowd.
1. Flipp
Features: Flipp delivers retailers' weekly flyers right to your smartphone. Once you plug in your ZIP code, the app helps you find ads and deals for local stores and search for products to compare across retailers, including popular grocery stores, pet stores and home improvement stores.
You can add coupons right to your loyalty cards or add items to a shopping list in Flipp and let the app find the deals for you. For example, when I added milk to my digital shopping list and clicked on it, the app took me to a new page with deals from local circulars. I clicked on “See circular,” and Flipp took me right to the place where milk was on sale, so I could double check the price.
This is a really useful tool for compiling weekly sales for stores near you in one place so you can shop strategically and save meaningfully.
Works well for: Grocery shopping, pet supplies, home improvement.

2. CouponCabin
Features: The CouponCabin app is a hub for verified coupons, downloadable coupons for in-store shopping and freebie offers. Browse available deals at more than 2,000 retailers or look at the editor's top daily picks — I saw coupons for Gap, Pizza Hut, REI Co-op and IHOP during my research.
Works well for: Online and in-store shopping for food and clothes.

3. Krazy Coupon Lady
Features: You might be familiar with the Krazy Coupon Lady website. Now, it delivers verified coupons to you through a free app. You can set deal alerts for brands or products you want to buy and get access to manufacturer coupons.
There are a few things that set this app apart. There’s a calendar icon that pulls up top sale events this week. You can also look ahead to see if any sales are on the horizon, including any freebie days, such as National Drive-Thru Day. There are also articles that teach you the art of couponing. The only downside? It bumps you to the website and out of the app experience.
Works well for: Online and in-store shopping.

Tips for making coupon codes go further
- Stack your coupons for bigger discounts. If you can combine a manufacturer’s coupon with a store coupon on the same item, you’ve hit the jackpot. Just be sure to check the store's coupon policies because some have cracked down on this practice.
- Time your purchases to capitalize on sales: Try using a coupon for an item that’s already on sale to see deeper discounts.
- Combine cash-back apps with coupon codes: After you’ve made your purchase using a coupon code, run your receipt through a cash-back app to earn money back. See our list of recommended cash-back apps to pick one that’s right for you.
- Use a rewards credit card, if you have one: If you have a credit card that earns you cash back or points for purchases on certain categories or retailers, this is your time to add that extra layer of savings. Just be sure to pay off your card in full.
- Don’t overlook retailer apps: Many stores have free loyalty programs that give you access to unique deals through their app. While these apps might not honor third-party coupon codes, the manufacturer’s coupons likely still apply.
- Read the fine print: Coupon codes come with exclusions, minimum purchase requirements or only apply to certain brands. Be sure you know the details before assuming you’re scoring a deal.
4. Koupon
Features: The Koupon app uses AI automation to surface the deals and humans to review them, with the goal of weeding out fake and expired coupons. The company says it automatically tests every promo code — and this testing is done continuously so that invalid deals are removed. There’s an editorial team that lists their top deals and most valuable offers.
You can search by category (i.e., patio furniture or baby deals) or by top brands (i.e., Ninja deals or Nike deals). Some merchants offer exclusive promo codes to Koupon users, and these are marked with an “Exclusive” tag.
If you’re an Amazon shopper, there’s even a section with the best Amazon promo codes. There’s a tutorial on how to use the Amazon-specific codes, which I tested on an air purifier. The code worked to get me 59% off the Amazon price, but I would have been confused on how to get the deal without the tutorial.
Works well for: Online shopping.

5. The Coupons App
Features: Admittedly, the Coupons App looks a little less polished than the others, but its deals are just as real. The app collects deals, coupons and promo codes from over 100,000 retailers. Create a list of your favorite retailers to more easily browse store and restaurant deals. If you like to find deals on local events and activities, the app updates Groupon deals automatically based on your location. The app can also help you scope out the cheapest gas prices near you.
Works well for: Shopping and dining, gas purchases.

How we came up with this list
Our editorial team looked for apps with:
- No charge to download.
- Extensive retail options.
- Verified and up-to-date coupons.
- Easy-to-cash-out rewards.
- Ease of use in finding the best deals, whether through price comparison or coupons.
- Ideally, the app should be available to Android and iOS users.
The experiences of real users matter, too. So we read reviews of the apps and generally only included apps that received at least 3.5 stars out of 5 in the iOS App Store or at least 3 out of 5 on Google Play, as well as a minimum of 2,000 reviews. Those ratings were checked and updated on July 24, 2026.
